The host broadcaster of Eurovision 2007, YLE will inform on ticket sales on Monday 20 November. They will inform when ticket sales will start, where to buy them, how much they will cost and the number of tickets available for the public. There will be different priced tickets for rehearsals and the semi-final and the final.

The announcement will be placed on YLE Eurovision website at 11.00 EET on Monday.

Some web based ticket operators have caused confusion by advertising on some Eurovision websites that they already would have tickets for sale. This is not the case, but these companies are only working on the speculation that they would manage to obtain and sell tickets with huge profits. The only authorised means to get tickets will be announced by YLE and EBU.

Fans are reporting on some websites the difficulty in finding a hotel room in Helsinki for the Eurovision period. It is however very likely, that all is not yet lost as some hotels may have block bookings from tour operators, who might plan to offer complete packages if they manage to secure tickets for the final as well. Also, the number of beds needed for official delegations is not known until next year, so some rooms might become available. The Eurovision venue, Hartwall Areena is placed by the mainline railway and all trains bound for Helsinki stop there. So for some hotels outside Helsinki City Centre and neighbouring cities might be a suitable option.

This website’s Helsinki Info section has lots of links for hotel bookings.

Members of national OGAE fan clubs should hear about fan ticket allocations via their own club very soon.
