Jaana Pelkonen, who successfully was the female host in the Eurovision final in Helsinki in May, will continue hosting the Finnish national final in 2008. She has been presenting the show since 2005 with Heikki Paasonen.
For next year she will be joined on stage by popular radio dj Mikko "Peltsi" Peltonen. He is currently hosting the morning show on YLEX Radio. Peltsi has won the industry "Telvis" award as the most popular radio presenter in 2004, 2005 and 2006. This will be his debut on the Eurovision scene.
