Lordi’s keyboardist Awa is one of the Finnish public figures tested by Greenpeace for toxic residue in their blood. The Dutch laboratory TNO found twice as much ftalates, that are used in production of plastics, in Awa’s blood than the other celebrities. ’I wonder if it is because of the latex masks I wear all the time, or because I come from Porvoo, where there is lots of chemical industry’, she quips.

Greenpeace wants to highlight the problems with environmental harmful residues that affect humans, and are demanding a stricter legal control.
