The Finnish national final to find the successor to Lordi will be held in Turku, at spa hotel Caribia, exactly as last year. The date is Saturday 17 February, 2007.

"Turku and Caribia are perfectly suited for a Finnish national final. We have good experiences from there from two years", says the executive producer Timo Suomi. "Turku has shown good Eurovision spirit".

The final will be a televised public event, arranged by Melodia Oy, part of Eastway. The tickets will go on sale in the beginning of October. The show is produced by YLE Entertainment and it will be shown on YLE TV2. Also YLE's Finnish and Swedish language radio stations will be involved heavily in the arrangements. Rules in Finnish and Swedish available at www.yle.fi/eurovision

There is no info about possible internet transmission of YLE's Eurovision shows, but currently the broadcaster has no contract with the copyright organisation Gramex over music on the internet. Unless an agreement can be reached, there is little hope of any more YLE programs available on the internet.

In previous years the Finnish national finals have been seen on YLE's international satellite channel TV Finland (on cable in parts of Sweden), which can be seen with a viewing card all over Europe with a satellite receiver. YLE has two radio channels YLESAT 1 and 2 free-to-air on satellite, where some Eurovision coverage will be available.
