For the first time ever a compilation CD of the Finnish National Finals entries will be published this year by Edel Records Finland. The original release date of 14 Feb has been put back to 28 Feb, probably because two songs by one of the contestants Jann Wilde and Rose Avenue were disqualified after being available on the internet months earlier.

Most artists will also release their Eurovision candidates separately. At least four artists have strangely chosen to promote their forthcoming albums with different tracks as singles than the ones that take part in the Eurovision selection.

Jann Wilde and Rose Avenue will now release one of the disqualified songs "Lover Lover Lover" as the promo single from their forthcoming album "Tokio Okei". The single can be heard on their MySpace site and the album will be released on February 21st by Hype Records. Their replacement songs for Eurovision are called "Cinnamon" and "Rock'n'roll Dreams" and the band will perform in the last semi-final on Feb 10.

Laura Voutilainen has released her single "Rakkautta ei piiloon saa" from her album which will be released on the 18 April by Helsinki Music Company. Her Eurovision songs "Kosketa mua" and "Take a chance" will take part in the last semi-final.

Hanna Pakarinen has released a single called Go Go from her new album Lover released by SonyBMG Finland on 14 Feb. Her song "Leave me alone" was selected to go further to the Finnish final in Turku on 17 February, whereas her other song "Tell me what to do" was left behind by 31 % of the votes.

Also Johanna Kurkela will release her single "Sun särkyä anna mä en" in February from her album to be released in mid-March by Warner Music Finland. Her Eurovision entries in the third semi-final on the 3rd February are called "Olet uneni kaunein" and "Jossain metsäin takana".

Beats and Styles will release their album "Walk Don't Talk" on 14 February on AJ Records. The band will take part in the last semi with "See the signs"and "Take it back"on Feb 10.

Katra taking part in the second semi on 27 January with "Vaaratar" and "Tietäjä" will release her first album on 28 February on Edel/Hyena Records.

Thunderstone had their song "Face In The Mirror" voted to the Finnish final from the first semi. It will be on their new album "Evolution 4.0" together with "Forevermore". The album will be released 14 March on NuclearBlast.

Jani & Jetsetters went on to the Finnish final with their song "Musta sulhanen" leaving the song "Etupenkillä" behind. They will both appear on a re-release of the surf pop band's recent album "Uusi aalto" on Universal Records.

Jukka Kuoppamäki will also release a special edition of his recent album "Suuret tunteet", with his two Eurovision entries "Levitä siivet" and "Pikajuna" added, on EMI Finland.

Lovex will take part in the 3rd semi with "Anyone anymore" and "Wild and violent". The band's single "Guardian Angel" entered the German charts this week at 22 . A new version will ,be released in Germany of their album "Divine Insanity" including their Eurovision song "Anyone anymore" but seemingly not the other one in February on Gun Records

Kentala will take part in 3rd semi with his songs "Merry-go-round" and "Left my heart behind". No release info available.

Humane is taking part in the second semi with "Bubble Shell" (backing singers Charles Salter and Pauliina Kokkonen) and "Plane Away" in collaboration with Johanna Sandellin and Tom Nyman. No info on new releases, previous album Dreamcircus was on Edel.
